[PVS] RE: UMSS'09: Call for Papers

UMSS'09- 6th International Workshop on the Application of UML/MDA to
Software Systems (UMSS'2009)
Monte Carlo Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (July 13-16, 2009)
http://people.cs.und.edu/~reza/UMSS09.htm

Today's software products and their underpinning process models are becoming
more complex and costly, making the realization of these products an
increasingly difficult task. The OMG's Unified Modeling Language (UML) and,
more recently Model Driven Architecture (MDA), play important roles in the
development and implementation of heterogeneous software systems.
Furthermore, the ability to reason about the properties of a system built
through an integrated system life-cycle is of great concern to modern
developers. The main goal of this Workshop is to bring together researchers
and practitioners from both academia and industry.

You are invited to submit a paper that documents experience in research and
use of the UML and MDA in either industrial or academic work.
Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and
soundness. The Workshop will be held in conjunction with 2009 International
Conference on
Software Engineering Research & Practice (SERP'09). All accepted papers will
be
published in the Workshop proceedings.

SCOPE
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- UML semantics and Modeling
- MDA tool and Infrastructural support
- Formal Specifications and Verifications of UML models
- Co-modeling using UML and MDA
- UML and domain specific modeling languages
- MDA and Integrated Tool Environment
- UML model refinement and transformation
- MDA development processes and automatic code generation techniques
- Model Transformation and Models compositions
- MDA and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Executable UML models and tool support
- Industrial case studies and reports
- UML/MDA/AADL in Aerospace Software Engineering
- MDA and Aspect-Oriented Software Architecture
- Automated Software Design/Architecture
- Reconfigurable Systems and UML/MDA
- UML/MDA and Product Line Architecture
- UML/MDA and Value-Based Software Engineering
- UML/ADDL and Code generations
- Traceability between models at various level of abstractions
- UML and Model-Based Software engineering
- Model Based Software Testing
