[PVS] [CIBCB] Special Session on Ecoinformatics at CIBCB 2008

Below please find an announcement for a special session on
ecoinformatics at  the 2008 IEEE Symposium on Computational
Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

        Special Session on Ecoinformatics
                 at CIBCB 2008

High quality papers applying computational intelligence to
ecoinformatics and ecological modeling are solicited. Com-
  putational intelligence includes Evolutionary Computation,
Fuzzy Logic, Artificial Neural Nets, Particle Swarm Opti-
mization, Artificial Ant techniques. If you are in doubt,
contact the session organizer, Daniel Ashlock at
  dashlock@uoguelph.ca.

Possible topics include the analysis of large ecological data
sets, the use of computational intelligence to validate bio-
logical models, biological models that incorporate computa-
tional intelligence, techniques of visualization for ecological
  data incorporating computational intelligence.

Prospective authors are invited to prepare papers of no more
than eight (8) pages in IEEE conference style including re-
sults, figures and references. Authors are expected to present
their paper at the symposium. The paper submission dead-
line is March 31, 2008. Accepted papers will appear in the
proceedings and on-line in IEEE Explore. Formatting and
  submission directions appear at:

              http://www.cibcb.org/CIBCB08

The conference will be held at the Sun Valley Resort in Sun
Valley, Idaho from September 15 through September 17. The
resort is an all inclusive facility with a variety of dining, shop-
ping, and recreational activities available on the premises.
