                    CALL FOR PAPERS

                       SSIRI 2008
      The Second IEEE International Conference on
  Secure System Integration and Reliability Improvement

http://paris.utdallas.edu/ssiri08

                    July 14-17, 2008
                    Yokohama, Japan

SSIRI 2008 will focus on integrating tools and approaches for
developing reliable, secure, and trustworthy systems. All papers
reporting innovative approaches, concepts, and experiences
throughout the entire product development cycle in software,
hardware, and systems are encouraged. The conference will bridge
theory, applications, experience reports, as well as best-of-breed
practices. It enhances our situational awareness for developing
trustworthy products in today's challenging and changing environment.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
* Building security into products
* Building "Green Systems"
* Design tools and automation
* Reliability, availability and safety of software systems
* System integration for human-computer interaction
* Software testing and verification
* Requirements collection strategies and validation
* Impact of regulations on product design
* Integrating COTS components into new products
* Maintaining COTS components through development and field support
* Support strategies for fielded systems
* Role of simulation and prototypes
* Accelerated testing to demonstrate life capability of highly
   reliable components
* Physics of failure contribution to robust product design
* Experimental design considerations
* Impact and considerations of lead-free designs
* Mitigating electromagnetic capability and other environmental
   effects on newly designed equipment
* Embedded systems
* Supply chain management
* Six Sigma contributions to World Class product development
* Challenges and opportunities presented by new chip technologies
* Lessons learned on the development of new products, including
   success stories and pitfalls found in developing, releasing,
