Scope
The 2nd ACM International Workshop on QoS and Security for Wireless and
Mobile Networks (Q2SWinet) will take place in Torremolinos,Malaga,Spain,
in conjunction with MSWiM 06, the 9th ACM Int'l Symposium International
Symposium on Modeling, Analysis, Simulation of Wireless and Mobile
Systems.
Call for Papers
In recent years, wireless and mobile communication systems have become
increasingly popular as an inexpensive and promising means for ubiquitous
communications. However, without creating a new set of issues and
trade-offs, QoS and Security management of wireless and mobile
communication systems are becoming a very crucial phase for future
generation of wireless and mobile networks. This workshop focus upon the
study of all aspects of QoS and Security, for wireless and mobile
networks.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
o- Wireless and mobile network security
o- QoS for wireless networks (WLAN, PCS, Ad hoc and Sensor Networks,
Wireless Mesh, etc. )
o- Intrusion detection in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks
o- Privacy and authentication
o- QoS and Security for Heterogenous Networks
o- Fault Tolerant and Energy Aware Issues
o- QoS for wireless multimedia systems, VoIP QoS
o- Quality of control of wireless networks
o- Power and energy management
o- Wireless video surveillance networks
o- QoS in the Wireless Internet
o- QoS and Routing
o- QoS Metrics
o- QoS of Wireless Network Services
o- Wireless Network Survivability
o- QoS and Reliability
o- Image Quality in Wireless Video-Surveillance Networks
o- QoS provisioning in wireless multimedia systems
o- Wireless and mobile systems and applications
o- Performance Modeling and Simulation Techniques
o- Real-time and QoS-aware wireless sensor networks
o- VoIP Management and Security
o- Peer-to-peer security issues for VoIP deployments
